Don Albert Joins Posiq Advisory Board
Seasoned Tech Executive Brings Extensive Record of Mobile Marketing and Advertising Successes to Restaurant CRM Startup
San Jose, CA – May 7, 2012 – Posiq, the leader in restaurant customer relationship management, today announced that marketing executive Don Albert has been appointed to its Advisory Board. With over two decades of experience pioneering mobile and digital advertising and marketing programs for Fortune 500 companies, Albert will guide Posiq’s growth with a focus on client mobile strategy and services.

Albert has led digital marketing, sales and business development for some of the industry’s leading internet and technology companies. An early pioneer in mobile marketing initiatives, Albert co-founded and served as vice-chairman of the Mobile Marketing Association, a coalition of advertisers, agencies, mobile operators, handset manufacturers and portals organized to promote the first mobile marketing campaigns. An enthusiastic proponent of mobile technology as a new marketing medium, Albert also established some of the industry’s first privacy and technical standards.
Before joining Posiq, Albert was Vice President and General Manager of the Americas and Advertising for Skype, where he drove the company’s US growth, and launched new global advertising revenue streams. Albert also developed Skype’s first click-to-call program, which drove significant new business leads to small companies around the globe. Prior to Skype, Albert led business development and strategic partnerships for eBay, where he managed all ad sales in the eBay US marketplace. Albert was recognized “Marketer of the Year” for 2003 by Promo Magazine.
Albert’s résumé also includes executive-level digital advertising and marketing positions with fusionOne, PointCast, America Online (AOL) Digital City and the WashingtonPost.com.

Don Albert holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Princeton University and a Master’s of Business Administration from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
